Buzz Performance have done it again! Following the massive success of the Morzine-Montriond Triathlon, Joe and Amelia, with the support of the Morzine-Avoriaz Office de Tourisme, have organised a charity fun run with a festive theme. Coinciding with the amazing Morzine-Avoriaz Winter Start Weekend and Christmas market, the aim of the game is to get as many people as possible dressed up as Santa and participating in a group run or walk around the streets of Morzine.
There will be two courses to choose from, the full mile (1.6km) for people aged ten and over and a 500m for absolutely anyone who wants to enter. While this is an event that encourages people to get active, it’s much more geared towards having fun, looking awesome in a Santa suit and raising money for charity. Plus, it’s been organised around the Christmas market so all entrants will have the opportunity to enjoy a vin chaud and a mince pie afterwards, and even get some Christmas shopping done.
But what if, like many of us, you don’t have a Santa suit? That’s the genius part: one will be provided for you! The price is even included in the entry fee.
Here are all the technical details:
The Morzine Mile Santa Run will take place at 4pm on Saturday 8th December, starting and finishing at the Morzine Office de Tourisme.
Entry costs €10 (€5 if you already have a Santa suit), and €5 of your entry fee will go to charity.
You can register online HERE, or email joe@buzzperformance.com. Santa suits are limited so get in there quick!
Santa suits will be available to pick up on the day from 10am – 12pm and 2pm – 3:30pm.
We are SO excited about seeing as many people as possible running around Morzine dressed as Santa – the nights are drawing in and it’s getting cold but this is a great excuse to keep active, have a good run or walk around town, raise money for a good cause, and of course, have fun!
