Expectations were high for the line-up of the 50th Montreux Jazz Festival, released today. Taking place on the shores of Lake Geneva between 1st and 16th July, we were excited to pluck out our favourite acts, shortlist them, prioritise them and then join tomorrow’s online queue to buy tickets. Previously we’ve enjoyed De La Soul, Prince, Lenny Kravitz, Sam Smith, London Grammar, Nile Rodgers… the list is endless.
But today’s line-up announcement has left us feeling a bit flat. The big names include:

Simply Red
Quincy Jones
Jamie Cullum
Neil Young
Daughter
Lana del Rey
Santana
Deep Purple
Fingers crossed for more act announcements before July. As the line-up stands at the moment, we’re not sure it’s worth the ticket price.
