Security services at Geneva Airport have warned departing passengers to allow extra time to pass through the airport’s security controls from this Friday onwards. It’s currently the busiest week of the winter season in Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz and if you’re travelling back to the UK with your family this weekend, expect your airport transfer company to adjust your return transfer times accordingly.
The Swiss Secretary of State took the decision to increase controls this week to strengthen control of the country’s boarders. Both passports and travel documents will receive extra scrutiny as passengers pass through baggage and passport control.
Geneva Airport officials recommend that passengers arrive at least 2 hours before the departure of their flight.
